Evan Wise
Piano instruction
Evan Wise received his Bachelor's in Music (Magna Cum Laude) from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas in May of 2004. Evan has taught piano to all types of students in different age groups. He believes that the fashion, in which he presents the art of playing piano, is the most important element. He believes not just in teaching notes and rhythm, but also enforcing correct rhythm and musical phrasing at the same time.

While at the University, Evan studied Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, Counterpoint, and Composition with Dr. Ruth Morrow. He has given many piano recitals of music from J.S. Bach to Arnold Schoenberg. Evan conducted the Midwestern State University Choir, Wichita Falls Youth Orchestra, and the Wichita Falls Chamber Orchestra, and he served as Midwestern State University's Music Theory Tutor.

In 2002, Evan composed and conducted a Latin Motet that the Midwestern State University Choir performed on a European Tour. These accomplishments led Midwestern State University to name Evan the 2003 Musician Scholar of the Year.

Along with music, Evan has many other interests. He is an advocate for literature and the visual arts, and he has recently married. Upon receiving his Bachelor's in Music, Evan moved to Seattle Washington to pursue a certificate in film music composition at the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program.
